It seemed that the 2012 festival had just ended…when we realized we needed to start thinking about the 2013 festival already! That meant assembling a great team, researching great NH bands…and of course it also means making sure we have the money to make the festival happen.

Many of you are probably already familiar with Kickstarter. For those who are not, it’s a website dedicated to crowd-sourcing — that is, summoning the support of many donors in the virtual world to support your project in exchange for fun rewards. We had many festival fans suggest that we should set one up for the 2013 festival and so we did. The urgency factor built into a Kickstarter campaign is that if you do not reach your goal in the allotted amount of time, you do not get to keep the donations and they are returned to your backers!

We have until March 6th to reach our goal of $10,000.

We created our Kickstarter presence and stocked our support levels with some GREAT rewards. We’ve had supporters give anywhere from $5 to $250. You can pick whatever level works for you as a backer, and truly, we appreciate every contribution. Rewards include everything from stickers and tee-shirts, to festival tickets…and at higher levels, more incentives, like having your banner displayed on the stage at the festival.

Our biggest goal right now is to work toward a festival that is primarily able to sustain itself on ticket sales, and to make that happen, we need many hands to help us make light work.

If you attended last year’s festival, you know that we made sure it was a professionally-produced showcase for NH musicians – complete with awesome shade trees for festival-goers, at our great riverfront location. We strive for nothing less for the 2013 festival.

With your support, we can knock it out of the park in 2013 too, and get closer to our goal of a financially sustainable festival.

We also have a “Virtual Pass The Hat” circulating on Facebook, because we need you to get your friends on-board, and invite them along for the ride!

More fest news soon…
