Pat and the Hats - Band Playing the 2014 GSMFest
Pat and the Hats

Pat & the Hats is a band based around songwriter and illustrious performer Patrik Gochez. He has lived through the frustrations of the tape deck, the advent of cd booklets and the eventual luxuries of playlists… an upbringing that reveals itself in the diversity of his writing. Gochez wields the ability to play powerful guitar melodies entwined with silky smooth melodic vocals presented alongside a stage presence that is contagious.

He is joined by his band of loyal and musically talented Hats including lead guitarist Scott Solsky, bassist Brenden Harisiades, and drummer Bobby Rice. Together the Hats are able to paint a clean and beautiful background for the energetic and enthusiastic frontman.

They all share in their love of making an original sound and following their everlasting dream to see where their musical passion can take them. Furthermore, they have made it their mission to create catchy and unique music that transcends one specific genre. Though they are described by many as a pop-rock band, Pat & the Hats’ sound is like “the Beatles meeting Elvis Costello and then Iggy Pop stopping by to play Monopoly.” Founded to support Patrik’s 12-song solo album “Heavy Loader”, Pat & the Hats have transformed into its own 4-piece entity. In less than two years of playing together they have been named the best in New Hampshire by New Hampshire Magazine, and have been invited to open for the likes of Lucius, Teitur, Zach Deputy and more. With influences ranging from Ray Charles and Harry Nilsson to Wilco and Dr. Dog, Pat and his Hats have made it a point to offer a diverse collection of original tunes with tastes of both old and new. These qualities are something reflected in their first collaborative album which is due to be released in June of 2014 and includes sit-ins from artists including Greg Hawkes from The Cars.
